Alan Shankin

Alan turned professional in 1967. He completed his PGA Apprenticeship in the Philadelphia Section, and became a Class A Member of the PGA in 1972. He accepted the head professional position at Foxcroft Country Club, Senkintown, PA, and also during the 1970’s Alan played in Philadelphia professional and PGA tour events. Jim Flick, the well know instructor, was his coach from 1980 through the 1990’s. Alan owned and operated Warrington Country Club in Pennsylviania, where he was Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional. He also owned and operated the Canter Clubs, three 20,00 sqft. fitness centers in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with 5,000 members. Alanretired in 2008 and is now living and teaching golf here at The Clubs at St. James.
