I am writing to let you know how wonderfully pleased my husband and I were with the staff, facilities and food of St. James Plantation. We held our son's wedding reception in the Members Club on August 14 and it was everything we had hoped for.

I would like in particular to single out Brandee Donnelly for praise. When we first contacted her, we really had no idea what we wanted but she patiently and, with expertise, worked with us. She was able to draw out our wishes and make them a reality. We live in Maryland and it was reassuring to know that even though we were hundreds of miles away, Brandee was making sure that every detail would be taken care of.

I have belonged to the Duquesne Club in Pittsburgh, the Union League Club in New York, and a private country club for many years before moving to St. James. As a result, I have been involved in planning, hosting, and attending more dinners and events than I can count. However, no one has ever done a better job than the two of you did for the various events associated with my son's wedding this past weekend, including the Rehearsal Dinner, our Open House, the ladies luncheon hosted by Kathy, and the golf luncheon hosted by me.

Robert --- your friendly manner, outstanding culinary advice, excellent food preparation, and direct personal interest in the success of everything we did helped to make it a perfect weekend.

Brandee --- your wonderfully pleasant personality, consistently timely responsiveness, terrific attention to detail, outstanding can-do attitude, and tremendous work ethic similarly contributed to a perfect time.

As a parent, no single event is more important than their child's wedding. Thank you very, very much for all that you did to make it a wonderfully memorable time.

I cannot recommend The Clubs highly enough to show how wonderful they were to work with, in particular, The Catering Director at Member's Club. We had a year to plan and they were flexible, timely, responsive and accommodating while providing top notch service. We had about 130 guests for a plated dinner, and got raves about the food being the best wedding food guests had ever eaten. As bride and groom we were waited on hand and foot at the reception and never once had to seek out a server for anything. From start to finish, The Clubs were amazing and made our special day easy and beautiful. Definitely recommend!

A thousand thank yous to The Catering Director and the catering staff from St. James Plantation, who did an outstanding job of hosting our family for a wonderful wedding weekend.  The staff went out of their way and beyond expectations to accommodate our needs for this occasion.  The Founders Club provided a beautiful setting for entertaining our guests.  The Players Club was an ideal gathering site for the bridesmaids' brunch.  The food was phenomenal; the service impeccable; the atmosphere unforgettable.

...It was a pleasure to work with Brandee from the first time we contacted her and throughout the entire planning process. Brandee is knowledgeable, attentive, responsive, professional and pleasant – she could not have done a better job and she is to be highly commended for her excellent work.

The actual wedding reception was perfect! My husband Bob, my daughter Lorraine, her husband Paul, and I were absolutely delighted and so very pleased with the entire evening. The guests raved about the food, staff, service, facility and St. James - many of them said it was the best wedding they have ever attended.

Dear Mr. Deck,

My daughter's wedding reception was held at the Members Club May 7, 2011.  I just wanted to share with you what a fantastic job that The Catering Director did with this event.

From the onset, about one year ago, she has been a delight to work with and her professionalism is above reproach.  She was always available during this process, and shared such great knowledge about the reception event planning.  She worked beautifully with our wedding coordinator and I never once had to worry if something was being taken care of for us.

The food and service at the reception were amazing.  The majority of our guests were from out of state, and their comments about the reception were extremely complimentary.
