Walking for Wellness Program
Walking for Wellness
Objective: To create a program aimed at raising awareness for the positive fitness attributes of golf as well as improving overall Member health and wellness.
Each entering participant will meet with one of The Clubs personal trainers for a fitness assessment and weigh and measure, including:
-
Six body point tape measurement
-
Body fat composition
-
Resting heart rate
-
Blood pressure reading
-
Height, age, & weight of each participant
The trainer will then take the Member through a fitness assessment test designed to one's flexibility, cardio vascular endurance, muscular strength, and core stability levels. All results will be dated, documented, and placed in the Member's fitness folder. The trainer will set up an appointment with the Member 30 days from the initial test date.
The participants will be issued a pedometer, "Walking for Wellness Badge/Sleeve" which attaches to their golf bag, and a step tracking chart. The step tracking chart will record the time, date, steps taken, course played and tees played from. Participants will be responsible for documenting the information on the chart.
After the 30 day time period the participants will again meet with the trainer for a similar weigh and measure and fitness evaluation test. Our trainers will document and consult the participants on the findings and achievements made from the last testing date. The 30 day evaluations will continue as an ongoing service.
